Accessibility

Our commitment to making Ace Level accessible to everyone.

Ace Level is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more user-friendly for everyone.

Current Status

What We Do

  • Use semantic HTML markup throughout the site
  • Provide alternative text for all images
  • Ensure sufficient color contrast ratios
  • Support keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
  • Use clear and consistent heading structures
  • Provide visible focus indicators
  • Ensure form inputs have associated labels

Known Limitations

  • Some older content may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards
  • Third-party embedded content may not be fully accessible
  • Some interactive features may have limited screen reader support

Accessibility Features

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements on Ace Level can be accessed and operated using a keyboard alone. Tab order follows a logical sequence, and focus indicators are always visible.

Screen Reader Support

We use ARIA landmarks, labels, and live regions to ensure screen reader users can navigate and interact with our content effectively.

Color and Contrast

We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, as recommended by WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

Responsive Design

Ace Level is designed to work on all devices, from mobile phones to desktop computers. Content reflows without requiring horizontal scrolling at 320px width.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Ace Level. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers:

We try to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days.

Third-Party Accessibility

Some third-party services we use (Discord, Google OAuth) may have their own accessibility limitations. We work with these providers to minimize impact on our users.

Assessment Approach

Ace Level assesses accessibility through:

  • Manual testing with keyboard and screen readers
  • Automated testing with accessibility tools
  • User feedback from our community
  • Regular reviews against WCAG 2.1 guidelines

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to ongoing accessibility improvements. As we develop new features and content, accessibility is a core consideration in our design and development process.
